The “Texas Triangle”, which refers to the shape that is naturally created when connecting Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, comprises nearly 17.6 million people and has been responsible for 80% of the state’s population growth since 2000. This investment is the largest private investment in Texas history and will create over 2,000 high-tech jobs once completed. Samsung has also signaled interest in expanding their Taylor presence with the potential for a $167B investment, which would be largest semiconductor complex in the world, to build out additional facilities and expand the new job additions to 8,200 people.
